We
held Burd Family reunions back in the middle sixty's at the Hickory
Grove, but it wasn't till 1980 that we were organized. We are non
profit, and we do have a Burd Family New Jersey State number. Our
Burd Ancestors were among the early settlers of Tewksbury
Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and were residing hereby 1750.
Most of them were Farmers. The Bird/Burd came to America in the middle
1600's from England. Bird Families are recorded as residing
in Scotland in the early 1500's, later some members removed into
England.

Our
Burd Family is very Proud of our Heritage and we honor our Ancestors.
by holding our annual Burd Family Reunions . We
have built some wonderful memories and it our hope that our
descendants continue with this mission.
